My own travels have taken me to some of the world’s most breathtaking locations, from walking with lions in Zimbabwe and white-water rafting on the Zambezi to diving with great white sharks in Cape Town and experiencing sunrise at Anzac Cove. I’ve stayed with hill tribes in Northern Thailand, indulged in a gastronomy tour of Croatia, and floated over Egypt’s Valley of the Kings in a hot air balloon—where my now husband proposed.

More recently, I cruised from LA to Panama with the divine Explora Journeys and was captivated by the sheer beauty of the Norwegian Fjords. But two of my most extraordinary experiences have been in Nepal and Bhutan. In Bhutan, I hiked the iconic pilgrimage trail to Tiger’s Nest—a journey as breathtaking as the monastery itself and one for every bucket list. Then, to top it all off, in Nepal, I embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter adventure, soaring over Everest Base Camp before landing at the world’s highest lodge for a Moët champagne breakfast with an uninterrupted view of Mount Everest!
